PODSUMOWANIE Działania podjęte w chodniku Dechen pozwoliły na odizolowanie trasy turystycznej w Głów- nej Kluczowej Sztolni Dziedzicznej od możliwych zagrożeń aerologicznych i hydrologicznych od strony zrobów za chodnikiem Dechen. Prace te zwiększyły nie tylko poziom bezpieczeń- stwa dla ruchu turystycznego w rejonie chodnika Dechen, ale również pozwoliły na możliwość kontroli stanu wyrobiska za wybudowaną tamą izolacyjną. Ensuring the Safety of Tourist Traffic of the GKSD Excavations on the Example of Actions Taken in the Dechen Drift The Główna Kluczowa Sztolnia Dziedziczna is part of the Coal Mining Museum in Zabrze. Before the creation of a new tourist route, it was necessary to develop documentation for the protection of excavations, which will be part of or adjacent to the tourist route. The paper pre- sents the actions taken for this purpose in the Dechen drift. They consisted of dismantling an old, damaged insulation dam that lost its function, securing a 100 m section of the Dechen drift and making two insulation there. Before the route was made available, it was necessary to car- ry out many works, both scientific and research, as well as inventory, mining and on the part of mining rescue services. They consisted mainly in cleaning excavations, repairing housing, liq- uidation and construction of new gas and hydrological safeguards, construction and installation of aerological and fire protection systems. Actions taken in the Dechen drift allowed to isolate the tourist route in the GKSD from possible aerological and hydrolytic hazards from the goafs behind the Dechen drift. These works have increased not only the level of safety for tourist traffic in the area of the Dechen drift, but also allowed for the possibility of controlling the condition of the excavation for the built-in insulation dam.
