Analysis of Injury of the Mining Machine Operator in Selected Accident Situations The paper presents a new approach to the safety tests for the underground mining machine op- erators. The review of the accidents in the underground mines indicated some inacceptable as- sumptions of the current obligatory regulations in the aspect of the machine operator biome- chanics. The authors conducted some numerical tests of the floor uplift, one of the effect occur- ring in the mine gallery after the rock burst. To verify the injuries sustained by the machine operator, 50th percentile MADYMO Hybrid III dummy was used. The examinations were pre- ceded with defining of the proper boundary conditions for the simulations. The paper pointed out the shortcomings of the current regulations and implied some possible improvements. The results of the study presented in the paper are a prelude to further research.
