The Experience of KWK “Wujek” Fire Hazard Monitoring Endogenous in Board 405, Box L O.G. “Giszowiec I” in Mining Conditions PGG S.A. Branch KWK “Wujek” The paper presents a system for monitoring the threat of endogenous fires, used in the mine by the Ventilation Section, by means of temperature sensors placed inside and carbonaceous coal. The scope of measurements, the devices used and the method of conducting temperature meas- urements inside the coal cistern are described using depth sensors. The conclusions summarize the conclusions resulting from the use of temperature sensors placed in the rock mass and pre- ventive fire-fighting activities.
