The Impact of the Growing Scale of Natural Hazards on the Safety of Conducted Works in Underground Mines The paper presents the characteristics of natural hazards occurring with the increase in the depth of exploitation and their impact on the safety of mining operations. Particular attention was paid to aerological threats and their interrelationships. Co-occurrence of natural hazards contributes to a decrease in the safety of mining operations. The increase in natural hazards is associated with an increase in operating costs resulting mainly from the need to combat them. KEYWORDS: Climate hazard, methane hazard, fire hazard, operational safety
