Experience of PGG S.A. in underground personnel transport implemented by means of a battery driven haulage, manufactured by Becker-Warkop Sp. z o.o. SUMMARY: The paper presents the experience gained during implementation, developed by Becker-Warkop Sp. z o. o. CA-190 type battery haulages used in the underground transport system with suspended monorails. These haulages are intended for use in underground mines in methane and non-methane fields, in excavations classified as "a", "b", "c" of methane explo- sion hazard and in excavations classified as "A" or "B" class of explosion hazard coal dust. The haulages can be optionally equipped with an innovative technology of mobile lighting for pas- senger and material stations as well as a wireless radio control. The paper presents the experi- ence gained during the operation of haulages in underground mines, extracting coal. The ad- vantages of the transport with the use of battery haulages have been underlined.
