I NNOVATIVE SOLUTIONS AND MODERN METHODS USED TO ESTIMATE AND PREDICTION THE RISK OF ROCK BURSTS IN KWK P IAST -Z IEMOWIT R UCH Z IEMOWIT The article presents the approach of the Piast-Ziemowit Coal Mine to reduce the rock bursts hazard with the most effective use of the equipment and information provided by it. Coal mine Ziemowit applied a number of innovative solutions that improve the quality of observation and informativeness of the seismological method, such as dedicated district networks equipped with stations measuring the maximum amplitudes of the vibration velocity of rock particles mass. The solutions used to improve the quality of seismological observations are comple- mented by the connection of the underground seismological network with a network of sensors monitoring ground vibrations located on the surface. The introduced solutions enable the per- formance of advanced seismicity analyzes, such as the impact of tremors on the surface, to- mography - for predicting rock bursts and seismic hazards and determining the parameters of mining tremors foci in order to identify the nature of the seismic activity accompanying the ex- ploitation.
