SHIELD HEIGHT MEASUREMENT SYSTEM In 2015 , HBT introduced the SAM6 Sensors for use on Plow Faces in Europe due to their smaller sizer, lower cost and reduced power consumption In 2018 , the SAM6 was enhanced to Shield Height Measurement system, with the first units going into service in Australia later that year to replace the existing 3D Tilt system The SAM6 is currently in operation at: Oaky North (Roof Supports), North Goonyella (Roof Supports) , Tahmoor (Roof Supports and Panline), BMA (Panline and currently upgrading to SAM6), Appin (New Longwall supply), Kestrel (New Longwall supply)
