4 Pilot implementation of the Foreman's Electronic Notebook application in Polska Grupa Górnicza S.A. KWK Piast-Ziemowit - Ruch Piast. The Piast-Ziemowit Hard Coal Mine uses the Foreman's Electronic Notebook instead of paper versions of report books, alpha- bets and paper daily work registration. Implementation of the application required not only securing the financial outlays rela- ted to the acquisition of software, computer hardware and the construction of the necessary infrastructure, but also defining all the specific conditions of the mine and requirements for the application, including legal ones, as the keeping of report books by the branches results directly from legal regulations. It was also important to ensure compatibility with the existing HR and pay- roll systems. It was ensured already at the conceptual stage that the application had functionalities that facilitate and improve the work of traffic supervisors. The implementation was preceded by a five-month test period for the operation of the applica- tion in the operation of the mining plant in several selected branches. The functioning of the application brings a number of benefits, from increasing the flexibility of the work of management and traffic supervision to improving the flow of informa- tion in the organization. The implementation of ENSZ means improved work organization, effective communication and, con- sequently, more efficient functioning of the mining plant operations.
