APPLICATION OF THE REINFORCED ARCH SUPPORT ŁPZIEM IN THE CONDITIONS OF PGG S.A. COAL MINE KWK PIAST-ZIEMOWIT PART ZIEMOWIT. The main purpose of the support is to ensure the functionality of the excavation by maintaining the required dimensions of the excavation's cross-section throughout the assumed period of its use. -In Ziemowit part of Piast-Ziemowit, coal mine, as in most coal mines, the ŁP arch frames are used to protect the galleries, made of V-sections according to PN-H- 93441-3, with sizes adapted to the geological and mining conditions and the function of the excavation. The steel arch support ŁP for road headings is commonly used due to ensuring the stability of the heading. The Ziemowit part of coal mine, for the first time in its history, is carrying out access and exploitation works in the seam 318. During the drilling of the galleries, very difficult mining and geological conditions were encountered, manifested by the uplift of the floor rocks and increased roof pressure of the rock mass causing deformation of the lining. Considering the above, engineers from Ziemowit, working with the Central Mining Institute and Huta Łabędy S.A. developed a design for the ŁPZiem arch dedicated to increased rock mass pressures and adapted to the thickness of the coal seam.
