14 CONVERGENCE OF AN EXCAVATION MAINTAINED IN ONE-SIDED SURROUNDINGS OF WORKINGS USING DIFFERENT SYSTEMS HIGH ANCHORING IN THE CONDITIONS OF COAL MINE KWK PIAST-ZIEMOWIT PART ZIEMOWIT. Excavations involve disturbing the original balance in the rock mass. The original stress state changes. The state of effort of the rock mass depends on the secondary stress state, which in turn influences its deformation processes. The role of high anchoring of the rock mass using string bolts to strengthen support structures in the Polish hard coal mining industry is systemat- ically growing. This is mainly related to the need to increase the load-bearing capacity of the support systems in the face of increasingly difficult load conditions caused mainly by the in- crease in bone depth, extensive tectonics and the influence of exploitation carried out in the currently selected deposits. Also important here is the use of increasingly larger cross-sections of workings, caused by both energy and ventilation reasons. The article presents the conver- gence of research gallery 341 in the one-sided surroundings of the gobs of long wall 314 in seam 206/1 in the Piast-Ziemowit Part Ziemowit Coal Mine using different high anchoring systems.
