11 ABSTRACT: The Sośnica Coal Mine is conducting extraction operations on the x101 wall in seam 416. Due to challenging geological and mining conditions, which resulted in excessive compression of the overwall gallery in the immediate vicinity of the wall, a decision was made to construct a parallel overwall gallery within the wall field. After insulating the previous gal- lery to limit potential air migration through the insulated space, holes were drilled along the parallel overwall gallery through the coal barrier. Chemical foam, characterized by its extended reaction time and spreading properties, was then injected into these holes to ensure a tight seal of the space. The article details the specific technology and preventive measures implemented in this area. KEY WORDS: chemical foams, elimantion of the fire hazard
